Deliveries – terms and conditions
We deliver on Monday, Wednesday and Friday to the greater Wellington region.
We deliver on Monday and Wednesday to the rest of Aotearoa New Zealand.
We do not deliver on public holidays. If your order falls on a public holiday, it will be sent out on the next delivery day. For example: if it is a public holiday on a Monday your delivery will be sent out on Wednesday.
We only deliver perishables for same day deliveries.
Our courier service is not refrigerated. We do not advise you to order meat or refrigerated goods unless you know you will be at home all day to receive the delivery. Any perishables will be delivered at the customer’s risk.
You need to place your order by 9pm, the night before the relevant delivery day
You can cancel your order up until 9pm, the night before the relevant delivery day.
All deliveries have a courier charge, the cost depends on where you live.
Same day delivery
Porirua (including Whitby, Plimmerton and Pukerua Bay)
Hutt Valley (including Eastbourne and Wainuiomata)
$3.25 for 25kg.
Next day delivery
$6.95 for 25kg
Southern Hawkes Bay
$8.20 for 25kg
Everywhere else in the North Island
$12.20 for 10kg
2-4 day delivery

Rural delivery (all RD addresses)
Extra $4.50 on top of standard courier charges
We only deliver in Aotearoa New Zealand.
There is a packing charge of $5 on every delivery
A dedicated member of the Commonsense staff selects all of your chosen products and does your shopping for you. This fee covers their time and effort in selecting all the finest products just for you.
FREE packing on Fruit & Vege boxes!
We pack your Fruit & Vege box for free. However, if you order a standard box and also order other grocery items then a packing charge will apply.
Payment is by credit card only. Your credit card details are safely encrypted and we will not keep details of your card number.
Payments will only be processed after your order has been picked, so you will only be charged for what you receive.
Sometimes damage can occur in transit. If you are not satisfied with the condition of the goods you have received please contact the Wellington store (04 384-3314) to arrange a refund or replacement
Let us know if your delivery has not arrived by 4:30pm on your expected day of delivery.
We can call the courier and track your delivery progress. Commonsense Organics will not be liable for a delay in delivery that is due to causes beyond our control.
Credit card refunds

Worried we will not be able to find your front door?
There is a delivery instructions box on the delivery details page. Please let us know exactly where to leave your delivery box.
We pride ourselves on the variety of our stock.
At times, due to the organic nature of our stock, fresh produce may be out of season and imported goods may be unavailable. We will call you between 7am and 8:30am, to let you know if we cannot supply any items you have ordered. We may suggest possible alternatives, so please leave a number where we can contact you. If we cannot contact you- we will not substitute the unavailable product.
We are not permitted by law to deliver alcohol
We have a wide selection of organic beers and wines which can be bought from our stores.
We are Carbon Neutral!
All orders in Wellington are delivered by our own van and are carbon neutral, because we offset all our carbon emissions.
Orders are packed in recycled cardboard boxes with newsprint wrapping where necessary. We encourage customers in Wellington to leave the cardboard box out when the next delivery is due, so that we can collect and re-use it.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
If you place an order with Commonsense Organics, this indicates you have read and understood our terms and conditions (everything written above!). We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a delivery.
