Deliveries – terms and conditions
Delivery days
We deliver on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Public Holidays
On public holidays we deliver only to Wellington City (Seatoun to Khandallah) because our courier partner does not operate. We deliver these local orders personally in our van, which is a carbon-neutral service.
All orders for outside this region are sent out the next delivery day.
Perishables
We only deliver perishables for same day deliveries.
Our courier service is not refrigerated. We do not advise you to order meat or refrigerated goods unless you know you will be at home all day to receive the delivery. Any perishables will be delivered at the customer’s risk.
Ordering
You need to place your order by 9pm, the night before the relevant delivery day.
You can cancel your order up until 9pm, the night before the relevant delivery day.
Delivery Charges
All deliveries have a courier charge, the cost depends on where you live.
Same day delivery

Porirua (including Whitby, Plimmerton and Pukerua Bay)

$3.25 for 25kg.
Next day delivery

Rural delivery (all RD addresses)
Extra $4.50 on top of standard courier charges
Please note: RD addresses may take longer to deliver to.
We only deliver in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Packing charge
There is a packing charge of $5 on every delivery. This fee is standard for online shops although it is generally combined with the delivery fee. This fee covers staff time for the personalised shopping service we provide, and the extra costs associated with running an online shop.
FREE packing on Fruit & Vege Boxes and Gift Boxes!
We pack your Fruit & Vege Boxes (including the Juicing Box, and all Office Boxes), and your Gift Boxes for free. However, if you add items to your order then a packing charge will apply.
Payment
Payment is by credit card only. Your credit card details are safely encrypted and we will not keep details of your card number.
When you place the order online there is a pre-authorization put on your card. This is not a charge. Payments will only be processed after your order has been picked on teh mornign of delivery, so you will only be charged for what you receive.
Refunds
Damaged goods
Sometimes damage can occur in transit. If you are not satisfied with the condition of the goods you have received please contact the Wellington store (04 384-3314) to arrange a refund or replacement
Let us know if your delivery has not arrived by 4:30pm on your expected day of delivery.
We can call the courier and track your delivery progress. Commonsense Organics will not be liable for a delay in delivery that is due to causes beyond our control.
Credit card refunds
Credit card refunds can take between 5-7 days to process. Contact the Wellington store (04 384 3314 ext 4) or email deliveries@commonsenseorganics.co.nz.

Worried we will not be able to find your front door?
There is a delivery instructions box on the delivery details page. Please let us know exactly where to leave your delivery box.
Availability
We pride ourselves on the variety of our stock.
At times, due to the organic nature of our stock, fresh produce may be out of season and imported goods may be unavailable. We will call you between 7am and 8:30am to let you know if we cannot supply any items you have ordered. We may suggest possible alternatives, so please leave a number where we can contact you.
Alcohol
We are not permitted by law to deliver alcohol
We have a wide selection of organic beers, ciders and wines which can be bought from our stores. We also offer gluten free, sulphur-free and vegan alcohol. To give you an idea of the range we've listed some items in the Alcohol category in the Groceries section of our Online Shop.
Sustainability
We are Carbon Neutral!
All orders in Wellington are delivered by our own van and are carbon neutral, because we offset all our carbon emissions.
Recycled Packaging
Orders are packed in recycled cardboard boxes with newsprint wrapping where necessary. We encourage customers in Wellington to leave the cardboard box out when the next delivery is due, so that we can collect and re-use it.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
If you place an order with Commonsense Organics, this indicates you have read and understood our terms and conditions (everything written above!). We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a delivery.
