A gluten free Christmas?
A gluten free Christmas can leave you feeling a little lost when everyone else is indulging in pies, cake and beer. It is also awkward when you realise you have nothing for your gluten free guest! We have a great range of gluten free Christmas cakes, Christmas mince pies, puddings, biscuits, fudge, beer.... all of these things and more. Just visit us in store.
The gift of giving....
Here are three Commonsense ways to do Christmas
- Buy locally: New Zealand produces great food crafts and clothing. Contribute to your local community and our economy at the same time. Buy New Zealand made! (and/or fair trade).
- Be a creative wrapper: Making your own recycled wrapping paper is fun, snazzy and sustainable. Use the crossword page of the newspaper, or your kids awesome art that you have collected through the year, get some butchers paper and make potato stamp pictures! This makes hours of fun and you can use it again next year!
- Composting is cool: Give the gift of a compost bin. Build someone a compost heap, buy a worm farm or a Bokashi unit. A year round gift that just keeps on giving!
