Pearled Barley is great for winter soups. Made by removing the husk and bran layers by scouring thoroughly during milling. The process reduces the nutritent value, but makes pearled barley very easily digestible, so it can be used when other grains cannot be tolerated.
1 cup barley: 2.5 cups water - simmer 45-60 mins.
