Policies
Orders will be sent out either by our own driver or a courier, the first Monday, Wednesday or Friday, after it is placed. If your delivery is not received by 4.00 pm on the specified day, the shop should be notified immediately.
- All customer orders are processed at 7:00am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday ONLY.

There is a $5.00 pick and pack fee which applies to all deliveries.
The courier delivery charges are:
- $3.25 per 25kg anywhere in Wellington, the Hutt Valley and most of Porirua
- $6.95 per 25kg from Plimmerton to Manawatu, Wairarapa and southern Hawkes Bay
- $10.10 per 10kg rest of North Island
- $17.45 per 10kg South Island
There is a charge of $3.85 for Rural Delivery.
North Island excess (over 10 Kgs) is $4.85 per 5kg for excess weight.
South Island excess (over 10 Kgs) is $9.20 per 5kg for excess weight.
Commonsense Organics will cover the delivery fee on all standard fruit and vege boxes delivered within the Wellington city area (south of Khandallah). Our standard fruit & Vegetable boxes contain no special requests. If you make any requests courier charges apply.
All purchases are to be paid for by credit card, the details of which must accompany the order. However payment for the goods will not be processed until the day after delivery to ensure that the order arrived in satisfactory condition.
The Commonsense Organics online shop uses 128bit encryption to ensure payment details are transmitted securely. This means your credit cards are securely communicated to Commonsense Organics, and stored on a secure server until the transaction is completed and the details are deleted.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our products but sometimes damage can occur in transit. Refunds will be given for all goods not received in a satisfactory condition or if a mistake has been made by the staff. To obtain a refund the goods must be returned to the shop.
When buying products by weight, it is sometimes impossible to get the exact weight specified and this will therefore be only approximate.
How to shop
Shopping online at Commonsense Organics is easy, convenient and safe. Simply follow these steps:
In order to be able to shop online, you will need to create an account. This means that next time you can simply log in as yourself, and we will automatically know your contact and delivery details. To do so, click the "Create new account" button above and fill in the details. Please note that your email address becomes your log-in username.
Once you have filled in the account details and pressed submit, an email will be sent to you with your username and password. This will usually happen in a matter of seconds.
Return to the Online Shop home page and log in using the username (your email address) and password provided. At this point you may wish to change your password to something that is easier to remember.
To search for products, either type in a keyword in the Search field, or use the Category dropdown list to select a category of products. The products will display automatically in the panel on the right.
In order to actually select products to buy, you need to enter the number of units you require, and press "Add to trolley", for each product that you wish to purchase. You can enter fractions if you wish.
To view what you have selected click on "View contents of trolley". At this point you can still change quantities or delete items from your trolley. If you require a quantity other than 1, you can use the "Calculate" button to calculate the actual cost of the products you are buying. You can view the contents of your trolley and then return to the products to select more if you wish.
Once you are happy with your selection, press "Go to checkout". Here we will confirm your account details, especially your delivery address, and the products that you are ordering. At this point you can change your account details if they are out of date.
Click on "Go to checkout" once more, and you will be prompted to enter your credit card details. These will then be encrypted and stored on a secure server where we will retrieve them. Once the transaction is completed we will delete them so that they cannot possibly be misused. This means you will have to enter credit card details each time you use the online shop.
